My husband has not technically been diagnosed with MS, however, we saw a neurologist about a year ago who mentioned it. No other further work up was done. Here we are a year later and the finger spasms/twitches are progressively worsening and he is having right sided paralysis. He was admitted to the neuro ICU. Thank you. Discharged again today. Will see what happens. It’s the weekend so of course no follow up with a neurologist any time soon. Praying for a “symptom” free weekend.
I woke up over 31 years ago with complete Paralysis on My Left Side and after tests were done I got My MS DX. and I was put on Oral Steroids and I was back to walking in Six Weeks.
not much showed on my mri ppms not many lesions thats why its hard to diagnois spinal tap and evoked potential visual was the only way i found out and a ms dr. in Philadelphia best to you both

If nothing shows up on an MRI, they will not diagnose MS. The 3T version is better than the 1.5T. That does not mean that nothing will show later. I remember not knowing was the worst. I wanted to just die. Really, bed-ridden without hope was worse than death, for me anyway.
He has had multiple MRIs. I just wonder if the lesions are not big enough to be noticed (if there are any). We went to another hospital and they admitted him and started doing their own diagnostics. He is back on a steroid drip and is starting to be able to move his hand and arm. Imagine that... They want to put him in rehab for 2 weeks. Still no diagnosis at this point. Very frustrating.
