I would like to know if cooling vest have proven helpful to anyone, thank you.
Love the cooling vests! We live in the south and the humidity is what makes my brain short circuit. Amazon has these cooling bandana things that come in a 2 or 4 pack the are really cheap that I use. They dry flat and easy, but let them soak in water for a couple minutes and you get hours of cooling power that is lightweight. hope that helps you out, and stay cool friend.
Yes, I use cooling collars and a cooling vest on a daily basis in the summer. They help immensely. The cooling vest is a bit heavy and is not good for me to wear if I want to be active, but is perfect for an afternoon rest.
I haven't tried a cooling vest because they seem rather bulky....but I really like Frogg Toggs cooling towels. They work (!) and come in a lot of different sizes so you can use them in many different ways. I also wear Cuddl Dud long underwear most days - they have all styles from tanks to T's to long sleeves....and same with underwear, shorts, pants - for both genders. They are wicking and very light weight and soft - very soothing on my sensitive MS skin! I also am much more sun sensitive now (on Tecfidera) and wear a lot of UFP clothing. For me, that means rash guards or swim coverup dresses - that material really protects, and if you order them in a larger size than you normally wear, they feel like they glide over your skin and that helps me stay significantly cooler. I like Headsweats baseball hats. They have fun designs (the Bigfoot ones are my favorite) and yet they are very lightweight and promote head breathability while protecting me from the sun. Finally, I use a high quality peppermint essential oil on my skin (and internally) to cool me off. Might sound crazy, but it works really (!) well. Good luck to you! Stay cool! XX
I bought climate right duds from Walmart. It's cotton light weight clothing
I too suffer from the heat and humidity here in Texas. After about 10 minutes, I am as weak as a noodle and can’t even walk. The cooling vests do help. I keep the ice packs in the freezer. Sometimes I will just take a couple of ice packs with me to my grandsons baseball games and keep them on my wrists, neck, chest, etc. any place on top of you veins. When temp hits the 90’s I am indoors except for getting in the car and then into someone’s house or business. Blessings.
