Summer’s are awful for me @A MyMSTeam Member Last year was the the worst for me but to be fair, I think it was for everyone 😂 But the humidity made me feel a heaviness and nausea that I’ve never experienced before. I love gardening and my yard suffered due to me not getting out there because of the heat/humidity. I wanted to try those cooling vests and see what that’s all about. I believe ms.org (not sure if that’s the correct website) will give you one for free. You do need to fill out a form. Amazon has them too.
Heat is very hard to deal with for me and of course, I live in a place that gets hot. I do have a cooling vest I got from the MS society.I have a little fan that goes around my neck. I stay inside as much as possible. when we have to go places, our car is air conditioned and my husband drops me off at the door.. What works really well for me is a damp cloth around my neck that I can also use to wipe off my face.
Ms society gives ice vests away for free, every 3 years.
