Amber Right now since you need to gain weight don’t go on any restrictive ms diets unless your dr says to. You need the calories right now. I just ate anything I wanted when I felt like it. Then once my anxiety started to come down my appetite got a lot better. Anxiety alone can really destroy your appetite and I believe the nervous energy burns the calories too.
So if your having a lot of anxiety you might want to address that also.🧡
You will get some weight back on. Dont worry too much about that.
I was the same way. I lost 15 pounds in a month after my problems began. It was all due to anxiety. Now I have gained back 7pounds.
It's not funny but I wish I had your problem. I take a week of steroids and gain 20lbs. I do hope you feel better and get that weight back up to healthy.
Your immune system is weak the antibiotics make it weaker. The best thing I have used for your situation is ginger root . Cut some pieces boil it and then put in coffee pot and steep it with green tea add local honey and drink it. It will help open the chest the breathing and get your vocal box back. A old lady taight me that couple years back. Thought I had walking pnuemonia chest xray was clear could not talk to clients so went for it. The very next day I had my box back and three days later i was much clearer.
As far as I am concerned, yes this is normal. MS makes everything last longer, but I would contact my MS doctor to confirm this is normal for you. I had two back surgeries last year and still not recovered 100%. I am still gaining my balance and a few more things. Bottom line everything takes longer to heal. Good luck!
