I've been on 300mg Biotin for 6 months, not sure it's helped yet. Is anyone here taking the 300mg dose of biotin daily that studies showed help PPMS ? If so, have you had any results ?
My Neurologist placed me on compounded Biotin 5 months ago. I stopped after 1 week because it messed up my bowels. I waited for a few weeks and tried again with the same results.
First MS disrupted my bathroom habits, then Prostate Cancer did a further disruption and then the Biotin even disrupted further.
Here is a closed Facebook group to join for more information about Biotin. Keep in mind that the past and current trials for Biotin are only for clinically identified as Non-active PPMS.

I used it for six + months. Felt a little better. It through off blood work results (thyroid). I just use a strict low sugar, low fat diet. Diet really helps me.
The correct dosage is 100mg, taken 3 times daily of High Dose biotin. There is a post above where I included a link for a Biotin for progressive MS Facebook group.
My neuro told me about the Biotin trials, but you need to take 30,000iu in a dose (30 OTC pills) a day. By the time they found pharmacy to conjugate the biotin into one pill at my next visit to the neuro, he said the success rate on MS patients wasn't worth it. I will tell you that in between my neuro visits, I decided to take the highest dose of OTC Bioten I could buy, and though my MS symptoms didn't change, my hair and nails grew like CRAZY!
