Hello All,
My spouse was recently diagnosed with MS. He has his days where it bothers him. I took the liberty to download this app so that I could become more involved and also learn more about MS. I want to make sure I am being supportive and really understanding what he’s going through.
@A MyMSTeam Member you already are giving positive support. I agree with @A MyMSTeam Member check out MS for dummies as it's an easy read and is full of useful info. Remember, he probably isn't looking for solutions as you will never read exactly the effects of his MS on him. You can be a patient listener though and provide him suggestions at the "right" time. You deserve a pat on the back or a high five for asking though!
Ms for Dummies, the book, is helpful
My advice is to just listen. Personally I hold things in until it becomes too much then I just need to let it out and have someone really hear me. That is just me though. :) Also by me there are several support groups. Some are just for spouses and care givers. You could check it out for your area. Here is a link:

Good luck to you and your spouse!!! Feel free to ask questions if you aren't sure about anything at all. This community is great!
Thanks so much everyone. I plan on attending all of his upcoming appointments as well.
Just the fact that you joined this site and want to learn more, be supportive is the best thing you can do! Listen well to learn what his symptoms are. Go to the neuro with him to hear what is said and help remember. Also assist him in preparing questions for the doctor appointments. Thank you for being an MS friend!
