What I have so far is spinal tap showing o bands in csf and blood.
Brain MRI shows several lessions mostly around the right parietal love.
(MRI was from Oct 2018). Nothing was shown abnormal of the optic nerve, but now for the last week, I have noticed my eyes needing to really focus when reading or watching TV.
My question is what's it mean to have obands in blood and csf?
I’m pretty sure the bands are just found is the csf. They also look for the IgG index and synthesis rate. I would ask your Dr what your numbers are. That test that checked my eyes was good also. But I have a hard time with the right eye focusing. When I was doing all of the initial testing my Dr told me that my right side is significantly weaker then my left, and it’s bc of the MS.
The results from my spinal tap is what confirmed the diagnosis for my doctor. I didn’t have any “MS episodes” and they found the lesions while looking for a cause of migraines so it made it more difficult. Good luck! I hope you get the approval and get to the MS specialist asap!!
Findings of obands in csf is a mark for ms, spinal tap cleared out infections and virusis, several lessions on brain(wasnt told exactly number, just numerous or several is what's said) another mark towards ms, obands (don't know number) was found in blood,
(I believe that has the nearologist stuck on diagnosing)
I'm waiting for the VA to approve me going to Ms center of excellence.
I believe that O bands means that there is active inflammation.
I feel this around my chest round through my mid back and shoulders, also I feel it in my throat. It's like a ripping pain inside
