I have terrible pain and numbness in my feet. Wake up dreading stepping down on them. They burn, throb and ache. Tried over-the-counter inserts to no avail.
Hi Dahusa, I have the same terrible symptoms and I've tried my best to deal with the pain. I've taken many different OTC medication's & unfortunately I found no relief. My Doctor suggested RX:Cymbalta & it has changed my life! I seriously don't think I could walk without taking the medication.. I hope you find relief soon!
I used to have horrible pain in my arches that would keep me up at night and they would make audible pops throughout the day. I ended up using Vionic and Abeo shoes and slippers and within 3 months, the pain was gone! Abeo (from the Walking Co) has these great metatarsal footbeds that mold to your feet and yet support them where it's needed. Totally changed my life.....and my shoe wardrobe! Hope you find a solution soon! XX
Since I am not using an MS disease modifying med for now, I use Alpha Lipoic Acid, that actually helps diminish the tingling and nerve pain quite a bit. I also have Vitamin D3, Magnesium, supposed to help with spasticity, and for sleep, melatonin and CBD oil. It took a while but now it is working pretty well for me.
I had the same pain in my feet for years and after having cortisone shots that didn't work I got hooked up from the neurologist., with a man that made Orthotics. I was able to go directly to his lab. They were made much better than the others I tried which was everything out there. This guy knew what he was doing and after wearing my orthotics for a few years I can now even walk barefoot and do not have that pain in my bottom of my feet any longer. That's probably the only part of me that doesn't hurt LOL one thing do not tighten your laces tight and where is shoe that is snug in the arch. The Orthotics that were made for me were made out of a very similar material that Birkenstock uses except they were made especially for me with impressions of my feet. They were made so that when I step down it's spread out my toes so the nerves we're more relaxed and it gave them space since the mylon is what causes the pain or the lack of myelin.
I use CBD oil and am considering some topical ointment as well. Gabapentin didn't feel right to me either.
