I am experiencing horrible migraines and nausea. I also feel like poison has been injected into my veins. Today while preparing dinner I about passed out and was shaking horribly. My husband comes through the door and I just started crying from how horrible I felt. Has anyone ever gone through the same type of symptoms? Thank you. :)

I had a neurologist but he wasn't the best. I am looking for a new one. My primary care doctor has been trying to help me with my migraines currently. I will read the link that you have provided. Thank you!

@A MyMSTeam Member What type of specialist did you see? Did they ask you many questions about the type of headaches you’re having? If not, then it’s time to find someone who has expertise in this area; more than just a regular Neurologist.

Exactly what type of headaches are you having? Are they your standard symptoms for migraines? Pain behind one eye and sensitivity to light or something else like @dsm is experiencing. When I mentioned “Cluster Migraines” in a previous post, they actually are “Cluster Headaches” according to the article I found and am sharing a link to. This site has a lot of facts about headaches and migraines, so check out the entire site:

@A MyMSTeam Member It sounds like you may be having “Positional Headaches.” They only occur when standing from lying flat, which is what I believe you just described happening to you. I went online to look for information about that type of headache. From what I learned, you could be having spinal fluid leaking somewhere in your spine if you only get a headache every time you stand.

If in addition to headache when you stand from lying down and you feel a little dizzy or equilibrium is off, then it might be a “Low Pressure” headache. Either way you need to see a regular neurologist or one who specializes in Migraines and headaches to determine what type of headaches you’re having. You don’t need to suffer any longer because there might be something that can be done to help you. Here’s a link to more information about this:
