It is my skin mostly. It can wake me up at night.

I had severe pain (level 10) in my right arm up to 6 times a day and up to an hour in length for 2 years with little help from traditional pain meds. My doctor suggested that I go on Tegretol (both chewables (100 mg - 1 or 2 as needed) and regular (200 mg - i in the AM and 2 at night). I no longer have the pain. I did recently have a hospital stay where they failed to give me this med and the pain returned until I started taking the Tegretol again. Good luck.

Yes, yes I do. I had an MS attack in 2007 that left me in so much pain I would wake up on time to take my meds and if I slept in 30-60 minutes I woke up feeling like I was on fire everywhere! They maxed me out on gabapentin and then added slow release morphine. In 2014 I was numbed up some and the pain lessoned but I still hurt every day. I would not wish that pain on anyone!!! Even numbed up I only shower every 5 days, still can’t wear tennis/dress shoes, jeans or my hair down.

I hope your path is different, that your burning is only mild. I’m not sure if you should wish for more numbness or not since that is the slippery slope to paralysis. Either way I wish you good luck & am deeply sorry MS did this to you!

Maybe 6 months ago, I had a feeling on my shins like this. It felt either burned or like someone had rubbed sandpaper on them.Lasted a few days and went away. Never occured since.
