I am anaphylactic to All NSAIDS including aspirin. I have tried all the neuropathic pain meds: Gabapentin (neurontin), Lyrica, Amitriptyline, Nortriptylene, Cymbalta, Depakote, lidaderm patches, topical pain creams, steroid/lidocaine Injections, lidocaine Infusion, ...
I go for a Ketamine infusion in 2 weeks
My doctors are talking about DBS (deep brain stimulation)
Sitting in a bath or whirlpool in hot water might not be a good thing if you have MS. I can say for myself that I am very heat sensitive. My body goes numb and if you dont have anyone to help you out
I sure don't know I am always in pain. But I have found that doing some stretches helps and rubbing the area. It seems to distract the nerve endings . . . and I have heard good things about getting a massage but I have never had one. I hope you will be able to get some relief!
Blessings to you!
I pray and ask Jesus for help daily.
I wish you all the best hon!!
My body could not handle it either. The Ketamine infusion worked. Now I wait to hear what frequency and dosage I will be on.
Gabapentin kept me in bed for a couple of days, because it was entirely too strong, and made me high and not able to function. Needless to say, I got rid of it.
Icy hot or biofreeze are my favorite topical pain creams
