My doctor is suggesting that I try it he says it helps with neurological pain. I wanted to know if I can get some information on how it was for folks who have tried it . . .

Yes I take it for the burning in my feet it works for me I still have a lot of pain, but it took care of the burning I take methadone for my pain.
Yes I'm late posting this I take Lyrica have been on it for a minute now, it helps with my pain,so like we say the doctors have to try certain meds for us, and they do work for us although they say

There are many medications out there that asre used "off label" which means it is used for some other reason other than what it was designed for. It also means in most cases that it has not been approved by the FDA to be used/or tested for its use in other diseases. Basically when used in other diseases the patient (you) are being used as the guinea pig rather than going the appropriate route of testing a manufacturer would use to get approval. The side effects only become known by "word" as we are using here and not forwarded by the physician to the FDA. In other words - you are taking your chances with any medication that is used "off label". Those with MS tend to be very touchy with medications (get side effects very quickly and severely). Drs. try this info by word of mouth or by the pharma rep not by what they are taught in med school. I always recommend anyone to look up the prescription in the FDA website and if it has a lot of bad side effects assume you will get them. I keep that website on my iphone top list. Beside that these drugs are expensive especially for those of you in the US. I could list a half dozen if not more of anti-depressants like all you have mentioned - and that is what they are being used for MS patients for pain. I have been on ALL of them including Amantadine which is the only one I am still on. One of them almost cost me my life and each and every side effect was listed as well as the possibility of death due to over heating - in "Canada???"
Always, always do the right thing - look it up on the FDA (FEDERAL DRUG AGENCY) Website or the one of equal information in your country - CDA Canada) and READ it thoroughly. As well, have a discussion with your pharmacist (not the assistant) about the drugs' side effects and your concerns - they are the ONLY ones who have sufficient medical education to give you proper advice. It is YOUR MONEY and YOUR LIFE folks.
Also keep in mind every drug has compound side effects with drugs/vitamins/minerals/ and herbals you are already taking. Take it from someone who buried a friend.
@A MyMSTeam Member Never tried Lyrica, but do agree with what @A MyMSTeam Member says about Cymbalta helping with pain and not having any side effects. I take generic form and have for many years.

I have zero interest in stem cell therapy. I would never do the kill immune system/reboot method and then a big maybe to just having them injected into you.
I am not that bold and brave and very skeptical of extremely unusual things. Then I would have to be comfortable with where the stem cells are coming from. . . it's a bit too much for me.
No research projects for me either. Plus in my case I can't even get in a car and go somewhere so that ends it for me. Thanks
I am not a fan of pharmaceuticals either. I only take something when I feel that I have to-after I read everything on it including user reviews. And sometimes I say no to it.
For me-stem cells-it's a hard pass!
But it's interesting to possibly read up on it once in a while . . .
Someone mentioned it but I am not inquiring about stem cells.
