My main source of income is delivering restaurant meals and groceries during this pandemic. I live with overactive bladder and require frequent bathroom stops. I've lost count of how many times I've been denied access to a bathroom. I already have a call into my member of Congress, and tomorrow the Americans with Disabilities will be hearing from me as well. I'm helping these businesses stay in business, and they have the nerve to do this?! For shame Pollo Tropical! Shame on you Mobil… read more

@A MyMSTeam Member thank you SO much for those resources!!! I had no idea that existed! @A MyMSTeam Member hope Debbie's suggestion works. I completely understand that now is a weird time and that some protocols are necessary, but when you gotta go..... Let's hope those limitations are short-lived. Please keep us posted on if it works and helps the situation for you! And thank you for speaking up so we could have this important conversation. I'm all about advocating for ourselves. Can't tell you how many times I've called the cops and posted pics to companies on social media for misuse of handicapped spots! No one understands the challenges we face unless we speak up! SO glad we have this space to share openly. Stay well everyone! XX

I started carrying a portable toilet and empty cups for when those situations arise. Its easier... just find a private area to go. Even had officers stop to investigate what I was doing. Never a problem when I explained I had MS.

I can understand the frustration and inconvenience but from an employers point of view you are a HIGH risk person due to the covid virus as you are dealing with many other people. I would not want you using my facilities or basically touching anything as needing to follow behind you sterilizing /cleaning everywhere you have been absorbs A LOT of time (Not because it's personal but because covid has KILLED 55,000 americans and climbing)
. This sounds harsh and uncaring but they have to worry about their employees and themselves first . It is not their fault that you need to toilet a lot. Seems a bit snowflake-ish that this offends and you feel the need to name and shame. Especially when it's you who are potentially endangering others.
