Question of the Day? Who else pays attention to their own body and keeps a Log of symptoms? I definitely do! Why you ask? Because I know that I’m having an MS flare up because my hives started again. I looked on my log and realized that it was exactly 6 months ago that I had a steroid infusion to get rid of the inflammation.
Seriously it’s really important to keep everything about your health symptoms written down in a log. At least I know for sure that my body definitely has a cycle!........πŸ˜‰

Members shared their experiences with tracking MS symptoms, with many agreeing that keeping a log or journal is a valuable tool for managing the disease and communicating with doctors. Several members described creative approaches, including detailed lifetime medical journals spanning decades, phone calendar notes, and a free app called MySymptoms that generates visual reports with graphs for doctor visits. A recurring theme was the challenge of staying consistent due to cognitive difficulties and memory issues, but also the deep personal value of looking back at patterns, even when some members shared that their doctors didn't always take the time to review what they brought.

I think that a journal or diary of some kind is a good idea, with my cognitive, "wow, I spelled it right," skills problem, I forget to do it daily. I never was good at keeping a diary, even growing up. Keep safe and keep the faith.

I try, but it's hard to keep up regularly. What I do most which is helpful is use a free app called MySymptoms. I've personalized it for my most prevalent symptoms that I'm wanting to keep track of over time. When it's time to go to the DR you can select the time frame you want and the symptom/s you want and create a visual report with graphs. Super helpful - wouldn't have been able to ID my food sensitivities without it.

Not really, I don't do it regularly, but I do recap when I remember. In my phone's calendar in the note section I post them. So when I do go to doctors I have something.

Yes, I keep track of my symptoms...I rate symptoms on a scale of 1-10. I do this with the hopes things will be recorded & it will help our cause.

I did at first but I found out as far as my doctors goes they never looked at it they are in such a hurry now they don't take much time with you at lest my ms Doctor doesn't, my family doctor he will take all the time I need I told him one time he needed to go teach my other doctors how to listen. I do have a really good pain Doctor that takes all the time I need. I think I will start keeping mine again though because it is good to go back and look at just for myself. My wife keeps one for her TN I just forget to write in mine and then I can't remember what to write down. I hope and pray everyone is having a good week so far, God bless.πŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜€
