Do any of you keep a log for this sort of thing? What do you track? How do you track it? I'm so concerned that focussing so much on what isn't working gives a lot of power to the disease, but I also need to keep track might be an objective way to determine what's… read more

I use an app on my smart phone called My symptom tracker diary. it is great because I can make quick notes and it time stamps the entry. I can easily pull up the info for my doctor.

I think keeping a spread sheet in excel has helped me. I put the date and time I have columns for all recurring things. I note what I ate and any medicines I have taken. I note in another column what things I have been diagnosed with that might be causing it. Any medicines I am taking that are suppose to be helping it. I printed it by symptoms and dragged it around to every doctor I saw before I got a MS diagnosis. Now I use it to and find triggers and to also find things that work. Especially paying attention to any thing that might bring me more energy.

I used to journal and after four years I had books that were so full of emotional and physical pain they depressed me to pieces. Now I only write down what is positive when I do.

I track my workouts and my meals on a spreadsheet. I find it good for me to track these things. My Nuro isn't interested, but I have shared it with my physical therapist. It has been useful for PT. It has also been useful when I feel terrible on a Tuesday, I can look at what I ate on Sunday and Monday.
