Hi everyone
I'm new to this group and would like to ask if anyone has experience with the side effect of Tecfidera / Dimethyl Fumarate.
After several years of using Tecfidera i now experience serious side effects with severe pain in the lower back and one knee.
Is there anyone who can help mee with these side effects / pain, e.g. a method of treatment by which one can reduce them?
These side effects are described on the web, but not how to remove them.

Thanks Rose for your kind answer, for the time being I will continue with Tecfidera with greater caution.
Later I may switch to another drug if the side effects persist.

- Gastrointestinal (GI) Symptoms: Nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, and vomiting.

These symptoms often decrease after taking the drug for a while. However, if you Show Full Answer

I took Tec a while ago and tried for 4 months to see if the side effects would settle but they didn't so I stopped taking it. The benefit was too small compared to the overwhelmingly side effects. You might need to review your meds as there is no point in suffering more. Best of luck, hope you find some relief.

I just got off Tecfidera since I had extremely severe GI side effects while taking it. Hoping that Vumerity works better for me. Trying mobility stretches have helped me with arm and back pain.
