I just got the results of my ultrasound, and my bile ducts are inflamed, but no obvious sign of gall stones. Waiting to talk to my primary care doctor to see where we go from here. Wondering if this is caused by ms?
I have had bouts of severe pain and vomiting, but not consistently. It has happened 3 or 4 days in a row, then not for a week. As soon as I get sick, I feel better, and it may not happen again for days. But I am almost always nauseated after I eat...started about 3 weeks ago, and have been losing a lot of weight without trying to. Ive had an abdominal ultrasound, and the last one was my stomach and gall bladder.
Knowing MS never say never.
@A MyMSTeam Member Oh, I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
@A MyMSTeam Member He said the duct going to the pancreus is also inflamed. Ive had blood workups done, and no sign of infection.
@A MyMSTeam Member That’s great news. You wrote that the other doctor mentioned inflammation outside bile duct. I was doing some research and could it be a bacterial infection causing the inflammation? To my knowledge the bile duct isn’t a muscle, but don’t hold me to that. MS doesn’t attack organs, just muscles, which a lot of organs have all around them. Just a thought.
