I can remember long term but not what happened early this morning or even last week. That’s MS for you! Perhaps that’s what your uncle is experiencing. Good luck 🍀!

I am scatter brained. I don't think it is my MS. Talked to my doctor about this. She said it is my brain's way of coping with things, Your brain can only hold so much. You need to slow down is what she told me. She also told me it is my body's way of coping with things I can not control. I told her I can't slow down it is my way of coping with my MS and anything else that is going on. My body will tell me when it is time to slow down. Prayers for your family, Stay strong.
There are times when I am also "scatter brained". I think when your body becomes overly stressed it can cause this. It feels different than the cog fog to me. I do know that MS can effect your long-term memory eventually, especially if you have brain atrophy. They need to do a new MRI if it is a new symptom but if it's been going for awhile it will show on the old ones. I have a lot of brain atrophy and 3 black holes due to taking so long to get diagnosed. Take care and stay well.
