The context provided does not contain specific information about individuals on Ocrevus receiving a third COVID-19 shot. However, here are some relevant points from the context:
- Ocrevus (Ocrelizumab): This medication is used to treat both relapsing and primary progressive forms of multiple sclerosis. It works by reducing the number of CD20-positive B cells, which are involved in nerve cell attacks.
- COVID-19 Vaccination and MS: Studies have shown that individuals with MS who take CD20 immunosuppressive medications, like Ocrevus, can mount antibody responses to COVID-19 mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna), but their responses may not be as strong as those who do not have MS.
- CDC Recommendations: The CDC recommends that anyone aged 6 and older who is moderately or severely immunocompromised should receive at least one dose of an updated COVID-19 vaccine.
Given your situation, it would be best to consult with your healthcare provider to discuss the possibility of receiving a third COVID-19 shot and to determine the best course of action based on your specific health needs.
