My question is has anyone on here ever been "diagnosed" with M.S with a negative MRI or CSF tap?
Yes you can have multiple sclerosis with any lesion spots just have the symptoms

Yes . . my CSF did not confirm it. I don't think it was negative, but the number of bands (I am not clear on the name or what they are counting) were lower than what would be the amount to confirm MS. But after many tests and ruling out many other conditions, several Neurologists and specialists, my Neurologist did confirm and conclude that my diagnosis is MS. She said mine was more unique (?) not good for me really because most of the common meds do not work for me. I wonder if that has something to do with it, who knows. I have seen some other people say this also, that the CSF did not confirm MS. I guess it happens once in a while . .
