I have had MS for 47+ years. All of my problems occurred in the first 20+ years. I have been in remission for the last 20+ years. Currently I have slow mobility with a quad cane and an occasional walker without wheels. The aging process has kicked in. My last MRI was performed in September 2018. My Neurologist read me the results and stated that I have numerous lesions on my brain, No lesion is active and all lesions are at least 20 years old, He then stated that multiple lesions have merged together creating a black hole, The good news is that these numerous brain lesions are located as such to not cause me to have cognitive difficulty. Most of the early tingling, numbness, the electric shock sensation, and even an occasional thickness of my speech are nonexistence. The spasticity is my difficulty at the present and it is somewhat controlled with muscle relaxers. I will ask my Neurologist if my black hole is T1 Hypointensity, After doing some reading there is also a T2 Hypointensity,

Although I remain fully cognitive, My MRI shows numerous brain lesions. My Neurologist said that I do have a black hole in my brain. He said it formed by 2 lesions merging.
