I was just FINALLY diagnosed after 4 years, 3 different dermatologists- this last one did the biopsy to back up his evaluation. Acne necrosis. I never had acne growing up/teenager. Was diagnosed with MS 6 years ago and started treatment then- was on Tecfidera for 5 years, Vumerity for this last year (scalp got really bad then) and now have been switched to 3rd med Kesimpta bc my WBC count had dropped to 400- so Dr was concerned and said they thought therapy in that line wasn’t working anymore. I think the scalp is definitely related to the MS- but of course no doctors would back that statement up. Nothing I seem to come into the office with is related to my MS- lol! Back pain, nope! Leg issues- nope! But the system’s in our body all work together and effect each other- so I can’t see why my scalp wouldn’t be effected by my MS. (Especially since I had clear skin and no issues my entire life) But deaf ears most times. I hope this makes you feel less alone though- to know someone else has been/is struggling with the same issue. Hopefully we can both find treatment that helps! 😊
