I'm in the process of being evaluated for trigeminal neuroglia. When the pain was active, horrible! Thankfully it is currently in remission, I can't imagine dealing with that pain on a long term basis. It will come back so I'm also interested to learn if anyone has found something to help. Stay strong!

I have had 4 flareups of Trigeminal Neuralgia, 1-2 a year then it will skip a year. My Neurologist and I have narrowed the medications I now take for the pain .They do not always work so we have to change them around. I have taken the following meds but not all at once but in combinations. Tylenol, Gabapentin, Tramadol, Baclofen, and Carbamazepine. I advise you to work with your Neurologist to find the best combination as I know the pain is very strong and you cannot describe it to anyone.

I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia in august. Its absolutely horrible. I am on baclofen and oxycarzepine- i butchered the second one. First was on oxycarzepine and it didnt help. Once the dr put me on baclofen also it was a game changer.
