Use a staircase, with handrails, find one nearby or at your property so it's free, up and down several times every other day. It's your hip flexors that raise your leg. Drop foot also is a common bother for all of us with MS, I use a Dictus splint (ankle band)) when driving, walking, but bare feet, no assistance, when exercising.
