Panic Attacks

A MyMSTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Paramedics called last night, couldn't move a thing. Eventually was not able to speak. Heart racing and fingers blew up like balloons. Thought I was having a stroke or heart attack. Could barely open my eyes and Paramedics said I was having a panic attack? As soon as they learned from my daughter I have RRMS they knew for sure panic attack. After about 25 minutes I could talk and slowly got back movement. Is this normal???

I had to go off DMTs because of there side effects. Panic attacks are anxiety driven. I have had many and they go away. Deep breathing has helped me.

Amen to that!!! I took klonopin for over 30 years. It's like valuim.now I can't take it anymore because I'm in pain management. That drug class is very physically habit forming . The withdrawals are intense which can cause seizures. 😳 so really weigh the risks and benefits if you go that route. I'm just saying. Everyone is different. So I'm just warning you.

I'm sorry you are having this pain and troubles. I take gabapentin for nerve pain. It works really well. It's not a narcotic.plus baclofen for spasity and muscle spasms. My prayers are with you.

Thank you so much for sharing. I am the same, can barely walk for 3 months now. Nerve pain all over. So stiff. This is a hard life to live when I was just so active 4 months ago. I'm hoping to get on Ocrevus cause I hear it help others. Just hoping insurance will cover. I'm glad your doing better. ❀
