How Long Did You Wait To Get On A DMT And Did You Have To Take Off Work?
Hi Everyone, I was recently diagnosed with MS. I started Tecfidera and it made me extremely sick (vomiting, stomach pain, flushing, ms symptoms are worse). I could not eat for 48 hours so my doctor told me to stop taking it. I was wondering how long did you wait to get on a DMT after diagnosis? Did you take time off work while trying DMTs or trying to stabilize? What DMT works for you?
I agree w/ flechlerk..but I got really sick when I was first diagnosed in 1995..went off drugs for 10 years & lived in the gym .became a gym rat...but take meds ..there are so many now..when I got diagnosed there wasn't what there is now ..so many drugs! I only had one & chose not to do it..many moons ago .but get on a drug that don't make u sick! God Bless!
Get another therapy..so man t drugs now..tell ur doc ur getting sick plz! Plz! PlZ!

When I was diagnosed in 2001 I was placed on Avonex which helped me for several years. Now I have have progressed to secondary progressive ms. I was doing an infusion but it is not working. I know that HostDefense. com produces capsules or powder of Reishi mushroom which many people take for ms. I am going to try it. I already take lions mane mushroom for cog. fog and it helps me tremendously.
