Has Anyone Taken Gabapentin For Leg Pan?
I take it 3 times a day. I have been taking it for awhile now. It was the first thing that helped me walk. I started it before the MS was confirmed. If I miss a dose, my legs tell me.
Gabapentin is typically prescribed for neuropathic (nerve) pain. It's nice because the drug can be repeatedly ramped and scaled up to increase the dosage to what's right for you.
Another source of leg pain is from spasticity, the constant "charlie horse" idea of muscles being locked down tight. Baclofen or another muscle relaxer is typically prescribed for that.
I tried Gabapentin and was in the "ramp up" phase when I decided the pain wasn't so bad compared to the hassles of trying new increased dosages.
FWIW, Dr. Boster mentions Gabapentin in some of his videos: ( https://www.youtube.com/c/AaronBosterMD/search?...).
I had terrible reactions from it and cymbalta. MOST PEOPLE LOVE THE MED but for me- it caused very violent shaking. I hope it fairs very good for you! Most do! I would go VERY slow about upping dosage. There seemed to be a tolerance level for me and once I passed that-whew! But… symptoms calmed down within three days..like magic! I tried it three times! Best wishes that your body isn’t as crazy !!
I do and i find it helps at night with the leg cramps and pains so far 600mg of Gabapentin works!
Good morning world
I slow down on my gabapentin 800 mg to strong so i just deal with the pain and pray……
