Panic Attacks

Panic Attacks

Hi does anyone else suffer from panic attacks? I get them only at night. Shivering, heart racing, shaking, vomiting and diarrhea many times. It lasts 2 to 3 hours! I know not normal but wonder if MS and altered neuro sympathetic response? Not side effect of Betaserone. Only happens every other month or so but so awful.

I’m sorry you are having panic attacks. I have had panic attacks but years before I was diagnosed with MS. I was prescribed an antidepressant which helped along with therapy and learning how to breathe and meditate to calm myself down. I hope you can discover what can help you!

I have them during the day sometimes, but I've found that Xanax helps.

I used to get nocturnal attacks for a few months. But was mainly due to adverse drug reaction and after I contracted the flu.

I’ve had them during day as well but haven’t had one for many months

I do meditation, breathing, sensory grounding as much as i can in the panic moment. Take an Ativan but nothing slows the intensity or duration. So dread them and try to remind myself it will end and I will be ok. Thanks
