My absolute lymphocyte count is low again and my neurologist said if it went low again (this is the 3rd time) we would need to look at an alternative DMT. I know there are so many out there - just trying to do a little research before I go see him again. This has been my only DMT, I've been on it since I was diagnosed. - a little over 3 years. Thank you all in advance for any information - I hope everyone is having a great day!

Linda was on Gilenya, but fell a few times so it was decided it wasn't working so she stopped. She had the same issue with tecfidera.

I have lived with my MS for 22 years, I took Avonex for 7 and Copaxone for 7 then switched to Ocrevus, the clinical evidence for Ocrevus is outstanding and I have done very very well on it. Kesimpta is similar, a little less data on the drug. I prefer Ocrevus because I only take it every 6 or 7 months, yes it’s an infusion but I was over taking shots. I also highly recommend everyone see a MS Specialist, not just a general neurologist, even if it is just once a year as they know so much more about the disease.

I was on Gilenya for 3 years until 2018 when I had a heart attack, been on Tecfidera since.
Gilenya increases your heart rate by about 10 beats a minute, my lifestyle was more responsible for having the heart attack but I was told by back then that the latest research showed that Gilenya had more of an impact on the heart than previously thought.
The tecfidera seems to be working for me but tbh it's all a who knows kind of scenario with all these meds.
