Does anyone get a burning sensation in their arm? It only happens on my left, feels like it’s on fire, usual happens at night in bed. What do you do, or take…..it’s annoying AF!
I've had burning in my feet,my legs from the knee down and the back of my left arm for a couple of months now....extremes of temperature make it worse....I've just been prescribed duloxotine for it(today is my first day) so hopefully it helps.
I also, weirdly, have started eating bananas before bed!! No help so far though...mine too gets worse at night, but is there all day to some degree. I agree,it's very annoying....I've found that even though my feet 'feel' like they're on fire, warming them up actually helps! I do ask my husband to feel my feet and tell me what temperature they feel,he usually says they're cold. So it seems that what I "feel" as burning,is in reality cold and needs an extra layer!
Wow, I’m so sorry to hear! Here I’m complaining about something that doesn’t happen a lot, but when it does it’s only for a week tops.
Thanks for the info. I’m trying not to take more pills, already on enough. Plus I don’t want to screw up my liver with so many pills. I only take Tylenol when absolutely needed, I usually bare the pain & deal. That’s just me, I’m stubborn like that.
Thanks again, though I’m sorry your in so much pain🤗🥰
Yes I have experienced burning sensation in different parts of my body through the years with MS. Wrapping up in a in a blanket with a heating pad as well seems to relax my body & help relieve the area where burning sensation is some. The relaxation of my body keeps the focus off the MS pain. Take a couple of Tylenol and a couple of 500 milligram Naproxen at the same time as well
I know this sounds silly, I started eating more bananas just before bed. My arms always used to do that but now it's gone.
My limbs feel like they are on fire many days. I also experience the sharp shooting pains in my arms and legs some days all day. The only medication I take is 500 milligrams of naproxen twice a day (prescription), 100 milligrams of antidepressant twice a day and a mild sleeping pill at night if needed (also prescribed). Seem to be able to manage for the last several years on those medications. A bone in my left hand had a fracture last summer for no rhyme or reason. I wore a wrist & hand support for about 5 weeks which helped it all heal ok. Support I wore was flexible in some areas so was not totally without some use in that wrist & hand. Saw a hand & bone specialist as well as my PCP but neither of them could give me any insight on why my bone fractured like that unless picked up or moved something that might have caused it and then hurt it more just using it and cracked it to the point it was very painful and not able to use
