I am no longer able to drive. I can’t keep asking friends and family to drive me.
My husband and children work so they can’t help.
I tried to get the city I live in to tell me about the senior transportation. I want to know if they help only seniors or disabled also since I am not a senior yet. They won’t respond to me.
There is a public bus that will sent a Connector to your house and take you to appointments but it is nothing but red tape. I’ve been trying since October.
How do you do it?
Call your insurance company. They may pay for transportation to and from the doctors office . Also look on line for transportation. There r many agencies that provide transportation at no cast to u if you can not afford a cab or Uber. That can get pet pretty expensive.
We have done good ol' uber for Linda. It has worked when we run into issues.
If you can no longer drive, there are several transportation options to help you get to your doctor's appointments:
- Dial-a-Ride: Transports multiple people to their destinations and requires a reservation
- Medicaid Nonemergency Medical Transportation: Schedules a ride to health care appointments
- Paratransit: Offers Show Full Answer
Thank you! I will
