Stabbing, burning excruciating torso pain, mostly mid to right side feels also like I’ve been punched. Ruling out gallbladder appendix etc… anyone have this and is this what I’ve read about MS Hug?

Members responded with support and practical guidance to someone experiencing excruciating torso pain, helping them identify it as the MS Hug, a common but frightening MS symptom described as feeling like an anaconda squeezing the ribcage. Several members shared their own experiences with the MS Hug, noting that while the first episode is scary, many learn to recognize warning signs over time, and practical tips included taking muscle relaxers, trying Lyrica, magnesium, and knowing when to visit urgent care or the ER. A recurring theme was the value of community knowledge, with the original poster ultimately finding relief after a clinic visit confirmed no organ issues and a dose of Lyrica cut their pain in half.

Best wishes Kerry, we do hold a lot of experience on here, but if it isn't all clear, then ER should be at the top of the option list -

@A MyMSTeam Member ironically I have a huge pain tolerance also but I’ve also had a hysterectomy and tonsils adenoids out; not many parts left. I had all of this prior to my gallbladder removal. We assumed because my gallbladder was slightly inflamed that it was all a gallbladder problem, maybe it was really MS???

Can be one or a hundred and one. Big ones or little ones. But if you see a patch of muscles that match, you get it

@A MyMSTeam Member thank you for checking on me 💕. I actually feel a lot better than I have lately Praise God. Lyrica blows me up but it helped a lot so I may take it every few days versus daily for a little while.
