Yes iv taken it . But I seem to have the bad reaction to it . Like I would go to sleep randomly , also it was hard to wake me up . I scared my teenage children ( 16 and 15) . Cause it was hard I mean very hard for them to wake me up . They were even jumping on my bed . Scary stuff for them . (I'm not a heavy sleeper.)
Get the print out from the pharmacy before taking it . It took 2 months before It got that way . Be careful.
'dependent' is the word. physical dependence can cause terrible effects if the drug isn't taken
cyclobenzaprine (flexeril) is hideous as well
Hi Jayne! Yes. That is generic Lyrica. I’ve been taking for many years. Once I stopped just to see if it was beneficial. OMG! The nerve pain came back full force and I decided it was good for me helping reduce nerve sensations. A couple times I screwed up and wasn’t taking for numerous days. I just overlooked putting Lyrica in my weekly pill box. The first time left me without Lyrica for about 5 days and the second left me 7 days. I had withdrawal symptoms. The first time I got so nauseous and dizzy with no balance. As I just stayed in my bed only to go to the bathroom I felt so bad. My daughter recognized that Lyrica was not in my cocktail of pills. As soon as I was able to get 2 doses in me I felt so much better. So yes, I believe you become physically addicted, not mentally (high feeling like some opiates.do), I take 200 mg up to 3x/day, I rarely take 3/day. For me, it helps and the side-effects are better than most. Best to you!
No Jayne2, I have not tried it.
Good morning Jayne!
Yes, my doctor prescribe 3 a day but I only take 1. I heard it can be addicting. I take it as a preventive measure. The neurological pain I get once or twice a year is unbearable.
