I think it gives me a little more energy, but not a lot. My first neurologist put me on Provigil, but that made my BP soar, which never went back down to normal (120/80) even when I stopped taking it and I have been on BP meds ever since. ;-(

First, let me really stress to you that it took me & my nuerologists a long time to find a pattern that works. Years.

Personally, I take 2 Amantidine & half a Nuvigal in the morning. And then save the other half of the Nuvigal for the afternoon. Often in the cooler times of year, I don't have to take the second half and that leaves me with a little extra for very bad days. Also, we settled on Escitilopram as my anti-depressant because it gives most people a small energy boost when you take it.

I also give myself a whole day off each week and sleep. Those days I don't take either med. If I am too tired, nothing works for me but sleeping in as cool & dark a room as possible. Also, I have to take a few days break from those meds every few months because my body gets used to it and they don't work as well or stop working for me at all. When I restart them, they work again.

But know that Nuvigal can make you shaky & make you have sleep issues if you have too much in your system. For me, that's so counter-productive that it cancels out any extra benefit. Creates a risk of falling & dropping things. Neither med totally works for me by itself. And my doc said Amantidine doesn't work for some people.

I took it and it made me feel off. However, everyone reacts differently and my Dr said he has seen some success
