I'm not stupid enough to refuse something that will help me walk. I currently get around with a walking pole, have the typical 'drunk' walk, that is my main problem, walking. I don't need help with anything else. Have you had PPMS for awhile and have taken Ocreliznmab - Ocrevus for awhile? Good experiences? Bad experiences? Can't tell because it's involved with too many other drugs?
Maxine, I've been on Ocrevus for 6 years. It has helped me not get worse. Yes you are still going to have symptoms but it will diffauntly slow progression down. I've improved on Ocrevus in alot of ways. Sometimes I think I expect more than I should but it does help. I know everyone is different,so you would just have to judge for yourself 🙂
Morning Maxine from the UK, I have S.P.M.S. and take have taken Ocrevus for the last number of years and for me it is a "Wonder Drug" as I have had absolutely no problems with it at all. Every six months they give me another infusion and that's it - see you in another six months! 😀
Maxine. I have primary progressive ms. For over a decade. Been on Ocrevus for 3 years. Hard to prove a negative. In other words how it’s slowing down disease progression. I do think DMTs are important and Ocrevus is the only one for ppms. There can be serious side effects w any DMT but I can’t imagine taking nothing. I’m do this Friday for my next infusion.
around here you could find all the questions about ocrevus and read up on all the things that have happened. MY SON has ppms (I have rrms) MY SON takes Ocrevus and has a stiff walk due to the crappy left leg, but he isn't dragging it like he was before OCRVS infusions
I also have PPMS I’m on Ocrevus. It’s currently the only drug for PPMS. It’s not going to make ur walking better rather it will prevent u from walking worse. Before u decide against it please talk to ur neurologist. Again it’s not intended to reverse damage rather it’s designed to prevent progression. And once there is progression there’s no going back
