Does Anyone Wear Compression Socks.
I know MS can affect circulation. Besides having MS, my Mother's side of the family "inherited " circulation issues. Matter of fact, my mother, who is 88, is starting to have these same issues as her parents had and what some of her siblings have. I am having issues with my feet being cold most of the time. I was wondering if anyone else uses the compression socks and if they seem to help.
Being a retired nurse and on my feet a lot, ai have worn compression panty hose for mane years. I now wear compression knee highs on a daily basis because varicose coins run in my family, they also prevent the edema in one leg that I have had for a number of years (MS,?, maybe)
Thank you!
Hello @A MyMSTeam Member. I've been using compression socks for several months now and have found that my feet no longer hurt when I go to bed. And my ankles no longer look swollen. The usual advice is to wear them during the day and I'm still working out how many hours I need to wear them. It could be seven hours a day or possibly less, but that's just for me so I can't advise on that. I bought, I think, 15 strength socks and that's strong enough for me. So that's another thing each person has to find out for herself/himself. They come in a lot of cute designs and I enjoy decided which design I'll wear today. Good luck!😀
Thank you! Do you use the 20-30 weight (I'm guessing here.) Or how do I distinguish which "size" to get?
Ive had MS for 23 years and have been in a wheelchair for 11years, been wearing compression socks for about 6months and they brillant, my feet are no longer purple, definately would get them you’ll feel better.
