I've been through lyrica, gabapentin, lidocaine, cymbalta, and nortriptyline, Flexeril none of which provided relief 😮💨. I'd rather not have injections or IV and antidepressants make me feel way worse and not myself, and out of body :(. Fairly new diagnosis and unaware of what types of oral medications are out there, that I can suggest to try at the pain management appt. Send help 🫣
Certainly! Here are some oral medications specifically for multiple sclerosis (MS):

I take Tecfidera an oral pill twice a day, a DMT ( disease modifying treatment) to lower my white blood cell count and try and prevent any additional MS damage.
With that said, it does not address the damage to nerves in my brain and spine that I already have, thats where many of the drugs you mentioned come into play, gabapentin neurotin or lyrica for nerve pain and varias muscel relaxants for tight spastic muscels.
You and your neurologist first need to determine which DMT is right for you, there are many like 17 and them address what can help your symptoms and pain which may include exercise PT, massage, accupuncture as well as oral medications.

@A MyMSTeam Member you'll be glad to know I completed testing for Mayzent, I'll have to call my neuro/ask to see if the results came back. Added photo of my lunch date with my mom after an MS 101 class 👇🏻. Shortly after this photo and getting home I zonked out into a sleep coma 😅🥱🥱🥱😴😴😴.
