Hi Lucy. I have taken Extavia (generic for Betaseron) and then Betaseron for nearly 10 years without any problems (I always took at night w/ Tylenol). I just saw my neurologist yesterday and he said I could quit taking it based on my age, 60+ and my recent MRI. Good luck. Just FYI, I recently suffered a stroke not caused by MS or my trearment.
