I’m on baclofen and it’s not helping me. Only makes me tired. I realize baclofen is not for pain, it’s a muscle relaxer. I take it three times a day with two extra strength Tylenol.
My legs start to ACHE a lot because of something I ate which caused inflammation. It is awful, yes, but the ache is manageable with ibuprofen or an another anti-inflammatory OTC medicine. Keep up with an anti-inflammatiom diet. My legs begin aching if I indulge in a piece of cake, soda, ice cream, or some sort of sugary delight. Anti-Inflammation foods are good for MS.
Also, I have found that staying super hydrated helps with leg pain. Electrolyte drinks help me with instant hydration.
I’m getting referred to a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, so we will see about next steps. I’ve heard of Botox for spacisity. I get Botox for migraines. I’ve used cannabis, primarily gummies to sleep. I’ve used other methods and it seems to take a lot to have an effect and then it doesn’t last.
Thanks Amanda. That is what the neurologist said they may try if this doesn’t work, but I’m sure she will try an increase in dose or another med first. I’ve been getting Botox for migraines since 2015. It has helped for that.
Cannabis, and my neuro recommended getting Botox and it’s amazingly helpful I’ve been getting it for four years now and it helps a lot
Well at least it helps with sleep 😉
