I have Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis which makes mobility difficult. I have balance issues, numbness and weakness in my legs and feet. Normally I use Trekking Poles or a cane if I can't use my poles. However it is easiest for me to walk behind a weighted stroller or shopping cart. Does anyone else have this issue and do they know of any mobility device that could duplicate that kind of support with posture and balance ?

My mother contracted polio during the epidemic (in the 1950's). As her mobility dwindled, she used different walking aids in this order: an arm of one of us with her, a hiking stick, a grocery cart, a STROLLER, a walker, and then she had to be in a wheelchair but she would "paddle" around with her feet. The fiercest, strongest, and most stubborn woman I know - may she rest in peace.
I say all of this, in response, so you can determine what works for you ... if a stroller works, use it. If a wooden hiking stick works, use it.
Peace & love to you.

I like using a grocery cart too. I haven't seen any mobility devices like it though. Good question.
