It is NOT true!! My doctor, Dr. Aaron Boster says the only MS patients he doesn't prescribe for or treat aren't breathing because they're dead. Your doctor is full of phlooey!! Find a new MS doc .

My doctor says it’s arthritis, but I have completely lost my mobility! I can’t take steps an out my walker. It is quite frustrating, but I am not going to let it stop me from making a major move across county to California where I know I will be happier an my health should improve there!!

KathrynJ, I was 64 when I was diagnosed. It wasn't right away that I was prescribed meds. I took meds for about 2 years, then I just stopped on my own because I didn't want to have to do the patient assistance if my doctor was going to take me off of them, which she said she might. When I saw her she said to stop until my next MRI. My MRIs haven't changed since 2018. It's been over a year since I took any MS meds. I do all the same things I've always done, a little slower, and a little shakier but I do them

I'm 70 so alot of my symptoms are due to aging. Doctors aren't sure if it's aging or MS and I'm not sure it makes a difference. My neurologist took me off of my medication when I turned 70. I was 64 when I was diagnosed. I know I have osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and other things related to getting older. Best I can do is to do what I can.
