@A MyMSTeam Member > I haven't had insurance for over 14 years. I do now.

That's what scares me. I came down with MS symptoms while in the Army, so all of my health care is through the VA. I'm planning on moving near St. Louis because the VA hospitals there specialize in MS and that's where my care is.

The downside of the VA is the bureaucracy and waiting time for appointments. The good thing is that the deal the gov't gave us for enlisting was that they'd care for screwing us up. So all of my costs are $0. No co-pays, no deductibles, no BS. Everything from my Ocrevus infusions to a vitamin D "prescription" are covered at no cost.

When I hear the *horror stories* of MS patients and doctors *fighting* with insurance companies to give decent care, and all the little costs and scams that they do, it just baffles me.

So you have my sympathies Traci. I hope your insurance is treating you kindly. 😀

Thanks. I'll look. I need one someone likes. I haven't had insurance for over 14 years. I do now. And I need to see one.

I don't know of any Traci, but the US MS society has a database searchable by Zip Code: https://www.nationalmssociety.org/resources/get...

The "problem" is there is no rating scheme or anything, just a database of doctors that have *some* knowledge of MS (not all do!).

And FWIW, Dr. Boster has a *ton* of tips in multiple videos for how MS patients should do everything from "prepare" for their neurology appt to red flags they might see when using a neurologist -- highly recommended: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkQopiiFbAo0zS...
