I am awaiting results from my MRI scan of my full spine. The neurologist is suspected DDD in my T2 area as over the past two years my mobility has become somewhat an issue with a lot of pain that will not go away. I am diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my left hip due to pain and the spasms and now 12 months ago it started on my right side aswell. I been going through stages of not being able to walk more than a few feet due to the agony and shooting pains from my spine through my legs. I take approximately 40 -50 tablets a day to keep mobile and would be lost without celocoxib and diazepam. I'm under pain management but they are waiting for the neurologists to have the final say as this scan is going to tell them if my MS has progressed to SPMS or if they are going to operate on my spine for DDD. I feel so annoyed as I have been complaining about this problem over 5 years aswell my cognition getting worse 😤. My original neurologist wanted this scan doing in 2014 due to my pain and cognition but he retired and the one who took over decided it wasn't necessary and it was all in my head and gave me another diagnosis of FND. I just turned 50 and I feel like I don't have a great lot to offer and I get tired or in pain so easy. This is no way of living but I try my best for my husband and son as they need me. Please don't apologize for your suffering + pain. I only truly wish that doctors could trust when we tell them what we feel and the impact it has in so many ways, affecting our loved ones + our lives - it'd just be half the battle to know they really do believe us and want to help make it better!
Thoughts of concern + support for you so that you may finally get the right treatment needed to be able to carry on and keep fighting! Remember, we don't have to settle for doctors that don't truly get it or care- it's our job to self advocate and pick our own team best you can!

Yes it can. I have oteopenia and am taking Fosamax. My other drugs do contribute to calcium deficiency. My joints are all starting to crumble away slowly. I take extra calcium daily combat this.

Shannon I have arthritis too. I went to a chiropractor and he said my lower lumbar is fused. I don’t have any cartilage left between my lower vertebrae, so it’s bone on bone. I have to take pain medicine and muscle relaxers or it is intolerable. It’s just the way my life is now. This morning I was in severe pain. I finally got my medicine. What we have to live with when we get older. I’m 71 years old and I’m gonna keep going as long as I can
