The neurologist goes to school longer. By four years. I’d definitely try to get into a ms specialist 🤗

I initially saw a neuro-ophthalmologist, who conducted an MRI of my brain and eyes, along with a spinal tap. He identified brain lesions and prescribed a week of prednisone injections, which almost restored my vision. He ruled out MS but wanted me to follow up regularly for further investigation. While seeing him, I decided to get a second opinion from a neurologist. After briefly reviewing my MRI results on my phone, the neurologist immediately diagnosed MS and criticized the first doctor. The conflicting opinions have left me feeling confused and frustrated.

OMG that makes so much sense bc that's exactly what happened to me and why he (neuro-optho) was saying brain pressure/inflammation bc at the time I was under so much stress due to my crazy marriage and arguing all the time and I was having what I called episodes bc the 1st time my vision went wonky it lasted about a week then a couple months later the 2nd & 3rd episodes lasted shorter this was all a year before going to that neurologist saying MS but after those injections, it helped so much bc I now have mild optic neuritis & only increase when hot & no more brain fog, speech craziness & rare headaches/tension unless I put my hair up or crying LOL
