Stop, it's about making a decision ,don't try, decide that you DON'T smoke , replace the habit with something though, I chose to pull weeds from the garden every time I wanted to smoke, gardens never looked better . Smoked for 22 years previously
I quit when I was diagnosed with a AVM on my brain and if I kept smoking it increased my chances of a brain bleed by 80%that was enough for me I threw my cigarettes out on the way home from the hospital that was 8 yrs ago my boyfriend kept smoking but last yr he ended up in ER with a massive heart attack and hasn't smoked now since gosh if he can do it he smoked 2 1/2 packs a day. I really do wish u well with this you'll feel so much better.
I know people who used grapefruit juice, cinnamon candy, or just brushing your teeth to help quit. Change the taste in your mouth and it will substitute for the taste of the cigarette. Get all things associated with smoking gone, lighters, ash trays, clean EVERYTHING, no alcohol, stay away from friends that smoke. It’s hard but eventually the cravings stop and you can move back to your normal life. Good luck, we are all here for you!!
Either you will make the decision or the choice will be made for you. God Bless Stay Strong
I quit before becoming pregnant. Then after the dx of MS I started again. My husband was the one who made me quit, I didn't want to but needed to. I was afraid of major health issues later on so that really keep me on track. I now literally hate it when someone lights up near me. I wish you well, @A MyMSTeam Member!
