Anthon̈y, Get in touch with your program(whatever they call it there) and they are very helpful in guiding you through the required steps to access their assistance. Good luck! I had quit driving for two years because I was afraid that it was no longer safe. They tested me and subsequently trained me to use hand controls! I now drive from my wheelchair, which I have now done for 20 years! 😉

Jane890 I am in Wisconsin and yes I do believe there's such a program. I grew up on a dairy farm but after college worked for Hillshire Farm and a few other food processing facilities. I'm now on full disability for many things. I tried to work as long as I can and still milk for a few private family farms. (The few that are left) Maybe I can find a way to fill out the paperwork to make this so.

Anthony, I have been blessed with having 3 such vehicles over the years. I found out that being on SSDI and working allows me to pursue such a van. I was fortunate to get funding through our state program. I had to purchase the van itself, but all the modifications were paid for. Are you on disability, and still employed? Those two requirements are necessary in our state. The program is called Vocational Rehabilitation. They have potential funding for people with disabilities. If you want more info please send me a reply.

I've been considering one that a guy near me has for sale..... I'm close to making an offer my family thinks I should look for something newer. It is a 2006 Dodge Caravan 112,000 miles on it.
