I feel my pain is out of proportion however I saw a study that says those two add pain to each other. My pain is everywhere all over my body from the scalp head to toast and down both arms to fingers. I also have a lot of arthritis and degenerative joint disease. Am I crazy feeling like this? And I'm really sensitive to touch and other senses. I also really sensitive to loud noises and bright lights. I have a lot of spasms. Also have restless leg syndrome.

You're definitely not crazy for feeling this way. Pain is a very real and common symptom in MS, affecting about 55% of people with the condition. A study found that chronic pain was present in 66.2% of people with MS, showing just how prevalent pain symptoms can be.

You're definitely not crazy for feeling this way. Pain is a very real and common symptom in MS, affecting about 55% of people with the condition. A study found that chronic pain was present in 66.2% of people with MS, showing just how prevalent pain symptoms can be.

The widespread pain you're describing - from head to toe, including sensitivity to touch, along with spasms - are valid symptoms that many people with MS experience. The heightened sensitivity to sensory input like loud noises and bright lights is also a recognized neurological symptom. Many MyMSTeam members have shared similar experiences with widespread pain and sensory sensitivities. Your symptoms are real and valid. It's important to keep your healthcare provider informed about all your symptoms, including the extent of your pain and sensory sensitivities, so they can help develop the most effective treatment plan for your specific situation.

I have severe fatigue and severe pain. I was just MS... but as I got older the doctor use terms like Fibromyalgia anf Neuropathy. When I retired and stop DMTs and found old age issues. I was no longer interested in labels. I set a goal to enjoy life with solutions most natural for chronic pain. I take prescribed Medical Cannabis pills from pharmacy. It is legal where I live and low dose so I can still drive. It helps pain and helps me sleep. I also do modified water aerobics in a pool. It helps the rest. Then I can do my hobbies and find JOY.
This is two of my hobbies: Monarchs and photography. Be YOU!
