This is from our local MS group where we have physio, relaxation, possibly reflexology and as we are a charity, a cup of tea/coffee, biscuit and a raffle!
Similar to many of the stated reasons above, I have lost the ability to do so much that I use to love (golf, believe it or not, I used to be pretty good at Flag Football, in my mid 20s ( pre MS) back when I could pivot, change direction). Can’t do many sports anymore as my balance is for sh1t, but my new sport is swimming. I find swimming so therapeutic. In the pool, I am NOT Disabled. I can swim breaststroke and freestyle without difficulty. I have full range of motion and I have never fallen down in the pool! I do a little over a mile (1,800 yards)
4-5 times a week!
My motivation is to keep moving ,staying positive and being as independent as i possibly can ! I will go back to work on 8/18/25 with a walker instead of a cane for my own safety and peace of mind.
My motivation is to keep doing what I'm doing and show others that these blips on our lives don't have to define us. Simpler said, an inspiration to others. 😆
As Jeff's caregiver, I am motivated to stay the course, living a quiet life of gratitude for being able to make Jeff be the best that he can be despite whatever MS does to him/us over time. I want to keep participating in walks/runs (but now with a focus on MS ones) to the extent possible, and keep designing unique .svg/.stl (digital/laser) crafts that bring others joy.
My motivation is knowing that, since I woke up this morning the Lord isn't through with me. I have his work to do. I may not know exactly what it is, but I will keep on doing my best to get it done. I also have a family that I love with all of my heart. My friends that I Love like family. That is motivation. I have a new great-grandbaby coming next Spring, too!!
