No, it's definitely not just you! Fatigue and emotional changes, including depression, are very common symptoms in MS. The connection happens for a few key reasons:

β€’ The inflammatory changes and lesions in your brain can affect both energy levels and emotions
β€’ Fatigue can make daily activities more challenging, which may lead to feelings of depression
β€’ Sleep problems and medication side effects can impact both fatigue and mood Many people with MS experience this cycle where fatigue and emotional symptoms feed into each other. As one MyMSTeam member shared: "I am having a particularly hard time with emotions, stress, and fatigue these days. Feeling anxious and frustrated."

If you're finding that fatigue is significantly impacting your emotional wellbeing, consider discussing this with your neurologist. They can recommend strategies to help manage both the physical and emotional aspects of MS fatigue.

Btw, don't forget actually, try not to forget that not everybody experiences the same symptoms. Some people go through depression, some go through anxiety.

Thanks Kristy for responding-you experience all that too? My goodness! I have a fb friend who's bipolar and have encountered a few other women who are bipolar; I don't know if the others have fatigue but I do believe my fb friend does.
