Members connected warmly over the question of whether cold weather worsens fatigue with MS, with the general agreement being that yes, cold weather does increase tiredness. Several members shared that both cold and hot weather drain their energy, and one member explained that cold weather causes the body to burn more energy to stay warm and fight spasticity. A recurring theme was the importance of listening to your body, taking naps when needed, and resting without guilt.

The cold not only adds to being tired, it burns more energy to heat your body and fight spasticity! Don’t let anyone tell you different. Rest my friend.
